    I am paranoid about getting the base damp etc. Always fill away from the base. The base does not seem to be the issue, Tripping happens when the kettle returns to t1he base. As for calcium carbonate deposits. I only de-calced the kettle a few days ago!

    Hello everyone. I have a recurring problem with using kettles in our house. We have to buy new ones regularly (every few months) as after a while they start to trip our 40A 30 mA circuit breaker. The kettle trips the switch as soon as the kettle is sat on its base (without being turned on)...
