    200 Ohm ?

    Hi Everyone , I'm always confused that One ohm or less is a must for circuits supplied by a company earth . But when its an Earth Rod then up to 200 Ohm is acceptable ... Surely the rod is much inferior so should be less acceptable resistance .. I know we now have RCD's but Rods were in place...

    16mm T&E tails on 100amp fuse

    I had one last week where Main fuse blew twice in a week .. was replaced by electric co. I thought maybe the cause was too much usage ... Took the Main Fuse ( no seal ) ... but alas it was a grey fuse with no writing on it !! so i was none the wiser .

    Bond or no bond ? that is the question .

    Hi Everyone , a bit confused here . New Regs . state that an incoming Water or Gas main pipe need not be earth bonded if part of the incoming in in plastic .. Does this also mean that Cross bonding of pipes in the house do not need to be Cross Bonded ? what would be the point of cross bonding...

    RCD Trips on Every Circuit

    Rigged up temp rcd Supply and am going back tomorrow . Still cant under stand how it trips on Every single MCB Lights and Power . Only one 16 Amp radial is ok .

    Hi Everyone , Recently got a Call from an old customer . She had a Washing machine Delivered and since then She has No Power or Lights ! I went there and RCD had tripped and cut off all circuits . Turned of all MCB's and put them up one by one .. Every single one Bar a 16 Radial Trips the RCD...
