Problems with MK light switch quality

I've had a fcu where one if the terminal screws had no slot in it, have no idea how it was put in the terminal. Quality has dropped right off mk kit, unfortunately as you say a lot of people insist on having it to match up with existing accessory's

Electrical Installation Design Guide: 3rd Edition

I bought this book when I did my 2396 and it is very useful indeed and contains all the information you could need, although you will find that any info you need for the course can be found in the regs or site guide to be honest. hope you have lots of spare time to do the project as it's a monster.

    EIC origin of supply

Yeah I will be making a phone call on Monday. Thanks for confirming my thoughts, don't really do many EIC and mainly reactive maintenance. Last one was probably 5 years ago!! At least I can go back to them without making myself look a numpty.

    EIC origin of supply

Yes they did have access, but no they wouldn't of been able to isolate the supply but do have a recent eicr and original installation certificate.

    EIC origin of supply

On an EIC what would you record as the origin of supply details if the sub board the circuit has been installed on is its self supplied from a sub board. Long story but we have had some work done by a contractor who used a subby for the electrical install and he has but the local board that the...

    Help with mag lock ?

First thoughts would be that psu isn't big enough as it works with one mag but not two. Secondly would switch mags through a relay as easier to change a relay than keypad when the contact fails. Also would have the break glass in series with the mags not the keypad.

Grouping Factor is giving me a headache.

When I did the Johnstone catalogue shop I managed to group approx 12 circuits in one trunking run. You have to look at using the <30% of the grouped rating for the cable i.e. 1.5mm cable but circuit only loaded with a couple of amps. I ended up having to run some lighting circuits in 2.5mm to...
