    Thanks Andy 1960. Do you disagree with buzz lightyear comment earlier then on page 1 ? The frame work of a portable generator becomes the earthing. Is this framework does not exist then a ground rod should be used.

    Thanks. That info is good but I may have confused myself. In one breath it says you don’t need to necessarily disconnect the earth from the don supply but then you should supply a suitable means of earthing... I’m just trying to find out is you should give the generator a earth rod or not...
