It's finally happened completed and finalised a certificate as requested only for them to change some of the information for it. (DB name)
We use the niceic certsure online portal. Is there a way to edit once submitted?

I did 1 year of 6th form then applied for a good old fashioned apprenticeship so no experience or previous qualifications particularly relevant to the trade.
Apprenticeship is the best way. I know in my area Clarkson Evans (main new build electrical contractor) are currently looking for...
If new build is all you know and you want to progress you need to get a job with a firm that does commercial/industrial work also.
There is so much you won't learn or even realise you don't know only doing new builds.
This could also give you a taste of some of the different specialties so...
Hi Jimbobelfast.
I had a feeling that might be the case.
I was aware of the government minimum % and thought it may had created a poor bar for companies base themselves against.
3% is hardly worth it.
If they cut to 3% without improving elsewhere think I will either go the agency route or...
Hi All.
I currently work for a large contracting firm which does not follow jib and has its own union and t&c's. The part I work for is being sold off to become stand alone.
Currently as I have long service I get very generous pension contributions from employer.
If the new management moves...
Thankyou for your answers.
Lankywill: definitely will be visiting wholesalers with tape measure next time I'm nearby. Will look into the models you mentioned.
Des: did expect I'd would need more of a surface fan than flush due to duct connection although haven't looked at wholly surface ones...
Hi.
Not had much to do with domestic and subsequently have not fitted many bathroom fans.
Have builders in doing my loft conversion and am wiring myself. Now the only place for the extractor fan is in the ceiling with duct run through void out soffit.
Unfortunately I only just had enough height...
Hi.
Had my stroma assessment a couple weeks ago and all went well except I had forgotten to arrange a health and safety policy, and complaints procedure.
Now when I applied there was no mention of these things and the only guidance I had was from my assessor which was very relaxed about it and...
I am enjoying all the responses. It's for stroma who require two new circuits. Easiest way was dad's garage. Will be three new circuits. Submains, sockets and lights.
It's my first foray into cps schemes. Only getting it because Im starting a loft conversion April. Company doing it were happy...
Thankyou very much for replying.
It's just a path round the house to the back between house and garage and a flower bed.
Not sure I can realistically put it 3.5m up. Although 3m is achievable. Any thoughts on part p assement regards that?
Hi. Quick bit of advice.
Just gone out to dad's to fit a garage supply using it for part p assement. He was supposed to be sorting a metal support for me ready and he hasn't got the pieces. Now he wants to do it on catinery gap is about 2.5m using bit of 10mm swa I had left over.
Any...
This is not really something I have ever had to deal with. Always done commercial submains which have been tns. But as an electrician are we allowed to just change the earthing system as it suits us? I thought that kind of thing was down to dno.
Vortigern yeah definitely a ballsy move, not sure if I have definitely got big enough to do it. But sometimes don't see my children more than 4 hours from Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon. And whilst that is the more extreme scenario it happens from time to time.
Plan A is my own business...
Polo1 I think your assement of my current employment is pretty accurate. Although things aren't as good as they used to be and van trackers have started being checked etc, it's not a bad job.
I was thinking of a job with less hours etc but part time electrical work seems pretty rare. Fortunately...
