The contractor is also saying that it is illegal to have other peoples (i.e. the other flats) electrical cables running through our flat. Is this correct? They already run through our flat, and there is no where else to put them given we are lower ground. (its a conservation area so...
One says its shifty, the other says its fine - who is correct?!
Replacing the sub mains is difficult as would need to open up the cable runs in the other two flats potentially v. disruptive - we would prefer not to do this if the other way is safe and above board.
Hi there - it't us - its the cables running from the meters / isolators / distribution board to the other flats. Electrician has called them sub main cables in the quote.
