Should be pointed out that it is a DRAFT proposal for the 1st amendment which is on the site and there may be alterations between now and when it is finally published.

"New numbering system .... In order to accommodate future IEC changes it has been decided to have a 100 numbering system for UK regulations only. The means for example the current regulation 422.3.14 will become become 422.3.100 and regulation 422.3.6 will become 422.3.103 etc."

So 422.3.14 becomes 422.3.100 ... and 422.3.6 becomes 422.3.103? Er, lost me already.

Dont forget, the regs need changing every couple of years or so to keep the BOG's pockets lined.

Therefore, there will always be pointless amendments.
