Hi I've completed my C&G level 2 and 3 diplomas, but I'm wandering what the next step is.
I can't get employed as an electrician so is it then normal to get an electrical mate job for 2 or so years until I can do my nvq and am2. Is there many employers out there that employ electric mates for that length of time or are there schemes out there for nvq without having to do a 4 year apprenticeship after 3 years already in college. Thanks

You don't have to wait two years to do your 2357 conversion and AM2, in fact you can sign up now and be working towards it whilst you get a bit of experience as a mate.

Ok cool all electrical mate jobs need a cscs card do I need to take the health and safety test even though Ive completed the level 3 2365.
If I was to do a 2357 apprenticeship which is simular coursework to 2365 would I need to do it again.
And I see the apprenticeships are three years long do I have to do three years too again because I have more knowledge than an apprentice starting off

No you can do a small bridging unit in a small number of units not covered in the 2365 and just the NVQ (practical) portfolio, where are you in London? Look at Thompson training in Bury they are very good and also do some work in Ilford, you could do the 2357 conversion by distance learning whilst you are working. You can get a trainee ecs card with the 2365 L3 and sign up by a training provider.
