The time has finally come to fit PV to my own house! I would have done it sooner but we also need a re-roof and haven't had any spare cash. However, the wife has had a recent windfall which should cover PV and a new roof just nicely!
Anyhoo, been looking at what's on offer and Krannich do Axitec 250W modules at a decent price. I handled one at Ecobuild and it looked sturdy enough and the 85% power output guarantee after 25yrs is better than most. Has anyone used them? Comments welcomed. They come out very well in PVSyst and Sunny Design simulations too. I'm looking at 14 panels (7 west-ish facing and 7 south-ish, both at 51 degrees). Also ran simulations with the Yingli Panda 265W and to be honest, the results between these and the Axitecs are very similar so I am not too bothered about spending the extra £600 for an extra 200W. Tried Sanyo HIT250s for a giggle (can get 15 of these on) but they come out somewhere between the Yinglis and the Axitecs in simulations, despite the extra panel.
Looking at dual tracker Power One inverter for whatever system I chose. Can't ignore the £300 saving over a Sunnyboy TL.
Anything I should know about the Axitec panels?
