This will be a diy, as advised from the forum!
Existing installation of under cabinet lighting. Operates off switch on wall, to a transformer under the sink. Each light then has its own power feed from a junction box under the sink by the transformer. Transformer is dead. Looking for ideas or "best" path forward on replacement.

If you just want to make the existing work, if the bulbs are OK, you could try replacing the transformer.
The bulbs are 10W each (max) according to the catalogue, so multiply the number of bulbs by 10, add a bit (say 25%) for luck, and that is the wattage of transformer you need as a replacement. Best to buy something in an enclosure!
But the system does look quite old. Is the "1970" on the transformer box, the date!?

Otherwise replace with LED strip.
The existing wiring from the lights down to the junction box at the transformer looks substantial, so you could possibly use that for low voltage power to LED strips. A constant voltage scheme would be the way to go.
You'll need to do some homework on the colour temperature you prefer, what kit(s) suit the dimensions you have, and whether you prefer ready wired units, or if you are happy to DIY self adhesive LED strip off a reel, and do the terminations and wiring yourself. Suggest you buy an LED driver suitable for the lengths of strip as a compatible bundle from a single supplier.
