I have a electrical company and am wanting to fit more alarms servicing and such do you have to register with anyone for this? and also who do you register with for your alarms to comply with insurance?

If you intend to install systems that require police response and insurance recognition then you need to be recognised by NSI / NACOSS or the SSAIB

you would need to be nacoss approved for insurance pruposes

if you are just installing audible alarms, forget nacuss. it's like niceic for alarms. OK, insurance companies give a measly discount if you have a nacuss approved alarm, but the cost of the alarm system, if nacuss, wipes out the discount for years.

1. fit alarm. 2. test and commission alarm. 3. get paid. 4. arrange an annual service.
