Hi,
i want to work through agencies, but could do with a ecs card, i dont have my NVQ3 yet, only 2330 level 2&3 with 17th.

can i only get a trainee card? i think i need my NVQ3 for the gold card, but will i get paid full rate with only a trainee card?

thanks for any info

ecs is not the jib card its the health and safety card through jib
how much experience do you have.?
very few companies actually pay jib rates anyway

sorry just reread my post not too clear

what i meant to say was the ecs h&s test is the same through the grades and it is this that the agencys are after to prove you have passed the h&s test.
your right in saying that youll only be classed as an adult trainee as you have not done the nvq yet. but so are a lot of sparks who have had lots of experience have lots of other quals but missing the nvq.

but this may not affect your rate as such that will depend on who you are working for.
if they are jib registered or apply jib rates (which a lot dont)
but a lot will negotiate your rate based on your experience rather than your specific jib grading.

hope thats a bit clearer;)
