Hi
I have come across a new DB that has been installed that requires testing. The tails to the board have come in through a 40mm bush in the side of the unit. They are 25mm tails. Therefore the IP2X rating has been compromised.
The board however is in a lockable cupboard and anyone with access to it is fully trained.
Is this acceptable?

Good question that, I would still give it a C2, lockable cupboards can be left open.
Maybe some heat resistant putty to fill the gap caused by the bush, to then ensure compliance😎

The whole point of a locked cupboard is that the door doesnt get left open.

Is it just an electrical cupboard, or are cleaners, caretakers etc going to have access?

I wouldnt say its "potentially dangerous" though.... Just C3 and advise.
