Hi, im fitting a Rico display screen on an install on a visitors centre, were using a Sunnyboy Sb4000 tl, however its asking us for a RS 485. What is this??? Has anyone ever fitted one of these and can anyone help please, thanks in advance.

RS485 is just a communications protocol. You will find a wiki entry on it. You can get an additional card for the 4000TL that is a RS485 interface. However it might be cheaper to go for a different inverter which has RS485 built in. For instance the Power One Aurora PVI-3.6-OUTD has a RS485 interface as standard.

Hi this seems like a bit of kit we could use in our Community Hall. We have a SMA Tripower with bluetooth. Is there much involved in connecting up a Rico Screen
