HI All

Ive just finshed installing a small lighting circuit in a toilet riser

The cct is protected by a B 6A MCB and is wired in FP200 2.5MM

I got the following readings Ze was taken at the Db at 0.11 ohm
All insulation resistance readings were taken at 2M ohm

and my R1+R2 was 0.03ohm
Zs was taken at the furthest point theres only one 2D Bulk head in the cct at 0.19ohm

Just checking my Zs against my Ze +R1+R2 The reading came out to 0.14 ohm

Any thoughts please

perfect!!

If you have at test sheet where every circuit is exactly as it is calculated, then the overseeing body will see this, and think that all the results have been calculated.

to conclude, only ever record what you measure, we do not live in a perfect world!

What do you mean by the IR readings being taken at 2M Ohms?

Your readings as has already been said, are fine.

Just out of interest, is it Zdb or Ze you measured at the DB?

There is only 1 Ze for the installation.

My thoughts.....jobs a good un.

Measured values will almost never match calculated ones, too many variables when measuring.

I was simply trying to understand use of the word "at" in that context. Insulation Resistance readings are taken at a voltage and result in a resistance reading they are not taken 'at' a resistance reading. :D

Usually it is down to the measured R1+R2 tests, as these are done dead and it depends on the quality of the leads and clips. If they anything like mine, the clips are crap.
