has anyone else used the new megger multifunction tester, what do you think of its features?

I have the Megger 1720. I love it now they have sorted out the initial problems with low current two wire loop testing. Search "Megger 1700 series" above, there is loads on them! Good and not so good mind you....

yeah 2 lead testing is great, also like the max zs where it records highest reading although a counter would of been good too, shame you have to keep removing leads and swapping over lead heads, must be a better way of doing this, but cant think how?

I haven't worked out how to use mine yet haha

took me a while to work out what holes to put leads in for the different tests, should of read instructions really, got there in end though, like the fact has 2 test buttons too!

The 1553 was much easier to use though IMO, but there you are I have the 1720 now and will just have to get used to it LOL.

and i'll stick with the excellent 1553 that i recently bought from mike (MDJ) coz. it'll last me out and i can leave it to my son in my will. can't stand these new gizmos with all them thingies i don't understand. only just upgraded the computer from the old one that had valves in it.

1730. its good, they all have good and bad faults, some have good cases, some have good leads and crocs, i like the fact the megger has two test buttons. feels solid and looks the dogs pyjamas when you pull it out infront of a customer.

megger seem to have a half decent crew at the end of the phone and sort out most problems.

yep.megger will fix you faulty |MFT for around £300. very helpful. NOT.
