Gas bond is on the pipe in the cupboard next to the CU. Niceic say they don't have any company by that name at the given address registered with them, and advise contacting them to get an enrollment number. The electrician did say they will be issuing a certificate for the CU.

I'm guessing this happens a lot, cowboy electricians doing botched jobs. While the customer remains totally oblivious and assumes all is up to standard.

Calm down dude. Was just asking... I'm not an electrician I know nothing. Seems the "electrician" knows nothing either. I'll see what niceic have to say.

Well I have no idea what it looks like on the inside. I'm not opening it. So I have an excessive amount of switches?

I've seen under the floor boards before, and they are all grey pvc cables... How did the guy know they are rubber if he hasn't even looked??

So the cable inside the walls? The only visible cables I can see are all PVC... The cable the cooker is attached to is Grey PVC...

I see 1 company name that matches on there, but isn't anywhere near where I live?

Where are these rubber wires located for the cooker and lighting? Inside the CU? Sorry I'm no electrician. :)

Are those the rubber wires he's referring to? The ones he advised to get the electricity board to replace (free of charge)
