    the hob will never pull 32 A as the elements cycle on and off. even when all are on, except oninitial start-up, but the cable will withstand this for short periods. if you were to measure the current, you'd rarely see more than 10 - 15a at any time. so the Bosch cable will be fine.

    It just seemed odd that a 7400 watt appliance came with such thin wires to connect to the mains.
    Two other Bosch appliances (a built in oven - 3000 watts and built in microwave - 3000 watts) came with 2 core and earth factory fitted cables. They are on a separate 32 amp circuit.
