I did see that thanks.
I opted for the 'Airflow Slimline Ecoair 6''/150mm Extractor Fan - Humidity & Timer' as it's a slightly smaller faceplate and humidity activation.
There is a hob and we'd considered an extractor directly above it. I'd actually prefer this, it would look and function better. We've been told it would have to be a ducted extractor and whilst the joists above run in the correct direction for ducting, there are steel beams in each direction...
I have considered boxing up an inline fan above the units, and I'm not ruling it out. I would line a 100mm wall mounted option for comparison.
So this is just for wall mounted options.
Hi all,
I'm looking for recommendations for a kitchen extractor fan i.e. rate of 60l/s.
We're almost finished renovating and we've just been told we have to have one (I know bit late in the day and I'm not happy but we are where we are). There are only a couple of spaces for one to be located...
Morning all,
I'm about to embark on some home renovation and the kitchen is the first target. We are looking at making it bigger, all in the room would be 32m2. I have read that electric underfloor heating systems are better and more efficient for smaller rooms, but that they can take a while...

A common theme is that what currently is in place is a bit of a hack job and to unpick it involves tools and knowledge I don't have. Easily I could make it worse.
Time to get a professional in to sort it I think...
Evening all, I have a (hopefully) quick question about wiring up an external porch light. We moved in to a new property recently and outside the back door there are a bunch of wires (see photo) where clearly an external light existed but has been removed. Inside there is a switch which I'm...
Thanks for the replies, both seem to suggest different wiring is required, from line to permanent live.
However, I'm not sure what change I need to actually make. I don't have a picture of how it is wired now, but I could get one. It's wired through the connector such that the 'mains' red wire...
Hello all, my first post here and I'm looking for some advice.
We recently moved house and the external garage has a couple of security lights on it. One of them works the other didn't. As they were quite old and the screws seized I was having trouble replacing the bulb (and sourcing a bulb) so...
