    Its 2 singles in grey sheaving theres no earth on the back box and its not cut back

    Hi, I've only got 2 cables to my light switch, no earth. Does this mean I cant have a metal face dimmer switch in replacement for the plastic one that's already on?

    Thankyou for that? I'm competent enough to do it and got the correct tools. To clarify I can swap both the singles for doubles and aslong as all cables are securely fastened it shouldn't cause a problem? Thanks

    So can I just disconnect power from the board, take out the single back boxes, make room for a double and replace wiring like for like? Will this not effect overload of power? Thankyou
