    Hi wondering if someone can advise me on something.. Im installing a few outdoor lights, will spur them off a ring via fused spur. question is when i’m testing do I take the max zs values of a 3/5a 1362 plug top fuse or zs at light fitting and use max zs for the mcb? Please explain in detail...

    Fused spur rcd

    no rcd non rcd ways. it’s a new build so it’s wired in 4mm T&E to a exterior wall, drilled through and connected to swa feeding the garage so can’t bypass the rcd. Garage has no rcd. Running a separate swa from the cu is out of the question.

    House is heated via gas boiler same with the showers. Gas hob and electric oven. The 4mm cables are T&E not swa. I would say they run through some insulation though. maximum runs of 18m.
