Hi Sam,
If you are a DIY your best bet is proably Amazon, they have many different E27 fittings and also have B22 (standard UK bayonet ) to E27 adapter fittings so there is no wiring to change.
Hope this helps

Hi Steve,
These documents are brilliant. May I have permission to use them for teaching at college/ training centre, as it would make learner's assignments so much more professional. (and easier to read and mark) Also would it be possible to add in the EICR Schedule of Inspections intake...

Hi guys,
Looking at this question in detail, I would like to add my two pennyworth. I think the question was sound and correct. It is peoples mis understanding of technical terms that leads to questions being interpreted as not being correct. In part two (definitions) of the regulations it...
Hi Guys,
With reference to the answers given here, I am going to stick my neck out and say that there is no non compliance in an RCD not tripping within 40 ms @ x5. The regulation 643.8 has a note that states for an RCD used as additional protection:
NOTE: Effectiveness is deemed to have been...

Hi
When daughter was a child, she put a hot cross bun in the toaster which jammed the mechanism in the down position (think the bun was thicker than the slot so wedged in) and we had a mini fire in the kitchen. No lasting damage, hence hot cross buns banned from the toaster even today after more...
Hi guys,
If you are an experienced worker but do not currently have a completed apprenticeship or NVQ 3, I believe the Mature Candidate Assessment scheme is either coming to an end or has already finished and being replaced with Experienced Worker Assessment. The best information I can find is...
Hi John,
This is my take on it. The values of Zs in BS7671 are taken at 70 Degs. C and those in On Site guide are at 10 Degs. C. Copper changes resistance by approx. 2% for every 5 degs. C . change Therefore difference between them is 60 Degs. (12 lots of 5 degs.) so from 10Degs. C to 70 Degs C...

Hi all in the forum,
I have a 6 radiator Y plan system with pump over run. There are 5 TRV's on the rads and the living room radiator is open at all times. I have now put Hive thermostatic rad valves on all the radiators with TRV's. It works ok, but there is an annoyance because if for example...
