    2396 and equivalent

Hello, I am considering doing the 2396 (more as an interest piece) however I have done something similar in the past, I have a qualification 2369-2360 electrical installation work course C which had a design project as part of it. However asking about no one seems to know what this qual is and...

    2391-52 practical exam help

The practical was pretty simple really, Ive rarely done inspection and testing and I thought it was a doddle, as long as you know why you are doing it then can't really go wrong.

    2391-52 practical exam help

RCD test just at the end on one of the sockets with all the covers back in place. That is what I did. For Zs I just calculated most circuits and I only measured on the circuits with sockets. More of a safety aspect I guess instead of poking probes in ceiling roses live.

Thoughts on this earthing at cut out.....

If it’s TNS will be different readings L-E and L-N being separate conductors whereras TNCS would give exact same readings as it’s the same conductor ?

Consumer Unit - Isolator and earthing

Just been in touch with EDF and they are going to install an isolator. As for the earthing. There is none. Not sure whethe anything in connected via the downstairs flat but it doesn’t appear so unless I’m just being stupid :) I’ve been in contact with northern power grid and they suggest i...

Consumer Unit - Isolator and earthing

It is a tyneside flat, so a big house 1 downstairs 1 upstairs. The supply comes from my loft from outside into the main fuse and downstairs supply pops out and downs through the floor/their ceiling

Consumer Unit - Isolator and earthing

In the future I would like the upgrade the consumer unit within my flat as to be able to add additional circuits (as the current one is plastic and is tiny). However there is no means of isolation from the incoming supply, there is also no earth from the incoming supply either which is another...
