Can my existing receptacle work for this?

All is not lost! You can also rewire internally. I have had to do these "field modifications" often with machineries. You may need to replace the cord as well. Refer to the product manual & above all BE SAFE. If you're not sure hire a professional. Good luck.

    How deep for underground wire?

Per NEC 300.5: wiring in PVC conduit must have at least 18 inches of cover.

    Bathroom circuits

I believe you're good. You can wire switch before the GFI too. Especially if it's in same box. Be safe.

Can I use one 12/3 wire to serve as travelers for two different sets of lights

From the information you gave me, I'd say NO.

    Double gang switches to dimmers

Can I install these devices without the ground wire connected? I don't see why not, cap them off with a wire nut. Turn breaker off before working on this. The Honeywell: Line wire goes to blacks currently joined together. Eliminate the one going to the old switch. Load wire goes to other black...

    How deep for underground wire?

18" minimum. Unless you're going under a driveway, parking area, or road. Your local codes may differ, but NEC says 18" minimum. Try not to dig up any sprinklers, or underground utilities. Be safe.

    Hot Tub

Having said that, the problem I've had in the past with this is, the threads on the MC connector can be too short to fully engage the locknut, inside the PVC box. The box thickness can be prohibitive to securing the MC connector. What I've done in the past is thread the MC conn into a 1/2" rigid...

    Tiny Home Circuit Breaker Help

Do you have any other AFs in the panel?

What type of electrical panel would you recommend to install?

I would go with what your electrician is telling you. You're correct in wanting to separate those circuits. It looks like, you're going to need to keep 2 top cicuits as double pole. It appears to me those next set of breakers on each side are tied together, not necessarily 2 (double) pole...

    Generator Connection

How far down before you hit bedrock? Sometimes you can get away with laying your electrode horizontal, if you get down far enough. And you should ground your generator too. The electrodes will have to be at least 6' from each other as well.

What is causing my breaker contact to glow red?

I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments from darkwood & westward10. Panel should be changed out. Which can be a particular hassle because AL wire is somewhat fragile. I would also add, your electrician should check your grounding electrode or equivalent. Be careful.

What is the source of the pulsating/vibration noise in my flat?

YES! Have the electrician change that panel out! My suggestion is to have your husband play louder. That way you'll eventually stop noticing as well. Just a thought... ? Hopefully your sparky finds it...

Will my plan to become an electrician work ?

I'd like to add what I was told when I started in the trade. "Better save yer change, kid." ? You should check with local apprenticeship opportunities. It doesn't take long to get more $. After 5 years you'll be making over $40/hr. Your pay will go up as you progress. Plus benefits (pension...
