    Outdoor ground level footpath lights

OK, OK guys - I should have put an "E" in front of the LV but can we get off that bandwagon and back to the main issue. Has anyone got any experience/tips/knowledge of putting in low-level (or should we call it Extremely Low Level!!) footpath lights over that length and the type of lights used -...

    Outdoor ground level footpath lights

Ok, sorry, you're right of course - inappropriate term. 12/24v supply over that distance seems out of the question but i'd like to use LED lights so they would need integrated drivers.

    Outdoor ground level footpath lights

I've been asked to install some ground level footpath lights for 150 metres in a recreation ground. Anyone know a source of suitable lights? It seems that LV is out of the question and I've seen some dome shaped rubberised lights somewhere. Grateful for any information from experienced fitters...

    Should I report it???

I don't live anywhere near there - I was merely travelling to Scotland to see family.

    Should I report it???

I was wondering whether building control responsible for that area? I just felt that someone needs to prompt the landlord to at least have a check done. Also, I thought that B&Bs were supposed to hold a current electrical safety certificate but perhaps I'm wrong - I only stay in B&Bs I don't own...

    Should I report it???

Just stayed in a B&B overnight. Woke up to find no electricity so went downstairs to find out what was happening to find the "manager" under the stairs replacing the wire in a very old fuse. The fusebox was full of old wired fuses and there was no evidence of a modern consumer unit anywhere and...

    LED Downlighter problems

No, they are the normal FRL903 Cool type that aren't dimmable, all installed downstairs in the voids between the ceiling and floors upstairs so there's no insulation to cause overheating that you could get upstairs from an insulated loft. I just can't explain why in several different houses I'm...

    LED Downlighter problems

The wholesaler has taken them back but that's not the problem - it means so much hassle, time and effort that is wasted and also confidence in a product that I recommended in the first place. And they are not cheap either.

    LED Downlighter problems

Is anyone else finding that LED downlighters are failing earlier than the spec? I've been buying Aurora FRL903s because they look good and the spec gives them 75000 hours but over a period of just a few months several of them have failed and the failure frequency seems to be increasing. First...

    Integrated LED downlighter problems?

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Aurora integrated LED downlighters? Several FRL903s have failed after only a few months use - they start to flash then fail altogether. If others are finding the same then I'm wondering whether it could be a design fault because the spec gives them...

    3Gang 2-way switching wiring circuit

I want to provide 2-way switching to 3 separate sets of 2 fluorescent battens evenly spaced in 2 parallel lines along a large rectangular garage. Switching would be from 2x3G switches, one at each end of the garage. The feed comes in to the middle of the garage. Anyone any ideas of the most...

Should I fit a garage CU and separate the lights

I have a 1998 detached house with an integral single storey double garage built part in and part out of the side of the house. The house has a split CU with a 30mA RCD feeding 2 ring mains. One of the ring mains is looped into the garage where it feeds 2 double sockets and a single switched...
