    Ok thanks guys I thought it would be worth a shot. That why I asked here to make sure as I'm not that clued up. If I wired the charger into a usb would that work better?

    Hi guys so basically I had a shaver charger wire with a 2 pin plug, and cut the wires and put it into a 3 pin plug. Is this ok or will there be problems? The wires from the shaver charger seem thin. Please see attached image. It's a standard Philip's charger wire.

    My girlfriend said she smelt something like fish, which was the burning plastic. An hour before I cooked bacon so I just assumed it was the bacon fat. I feel so lucky. It could have been devastating!

    Our main wire burnt out. We were lucky house didnt go up! Loose connection apparently. Thanks guys

    Thanks alot for your quick replies I appreciate it. The whole house is off. It went off during a storm the other week at 11pm then randomly came back on by the morning yet no engineers had come out.

    Hi guys hope I've got the right section. My power went off randomly this morning half way through a shower (electric shower but 12 months old). No tripped fuses, I flicked them all off and back on, still nothing. The meter is on and the red lights on it. Any ideas please?
