If you're a qualified, trainee, or retired electrician - Which country is it that your work will be / is / was aimed at?
United Kingdom
What type of forum member are you?
Heavily Qualified Electrician / Teacher / Tutor - etc
I’m sure this has been done a number of times, but I can’t find the correct thread.. I had my NIC EIC Approved Contractor Assessment recently and got a slap on the wrist for putting type AC RCDs as a fail on an EICR.. the assessor said it should be classed as a Code 3, not a Code 2.. has anyone else had the same issue? My understanding is that if you cannot confirm the installation uses any DC equipment in socket outlets it’s “potentially dangerous” but as above been told otherwise by the assessor..? He is new to the game..

Have a read of best practise guide 4 niceic help to write this
