out of work sparks or peope finding it hard to get work or not

any London based sparks out there who are a bit short of work in the next week or so, I posted a post in jobs bit but im also wondering how things are in general out there as being self employed an in a specific sector i am a bit sheltered from the real world of contracting.

Out of work at 45 for the first time ever!!

Hi Been working as a technical operator for the last 8 years, done some training , 2377, and an electrical to mechanical conversion course, and helped the company's electrician out a lot, trained as an electrical engineer for a few years when I left school(day release,) just been made redundant...

Going self employed whilst out of work. Possible?

Hi, I've joined the forum because I'm worried about my dad. He is finding it hard to get work through an agency that were keen on him. The reason being is they now need for him to be registered as self employed. He's tried the tax office etc with no look and has been told he needs to be in...

insurance jobs doing us out of work

Insurance jobs are cutting out sparks E.g. A carpenter refits a kitchen after a fire and replaces fire damaged cable etc. but when removes old units finds a mass of botch electrics because the old kitchen was a DIY job. Insurance wont pay any more to get a spark in as the agreement for...
