Hi fellas,

I'm Tom and I'm new to the site, be great if we all could get along and share work experiences, work advice etc.

The above quote is an old one I believe my old man told me it.

Thanks for adding me to the site there is lots of useful information.

Tom

PS anyone noticed how advertised jobs and even JIB website quote old C&G qualifications? You might expect them to be up to date.

This was an old custom to prevent electrical current passing through the heart (which I'm sure you already know). The Navy used to insist that you kept one hand behind your back :)
Welcome to the forum.

i subscribe more to the saying " a spark should work with one foot on his toolbox when plumbers are around"

And when painters are around!!! Had my tool bag on the floor next to my ladder and the painters where spraying the walls, while i was finishing fitting lights, come down off my ladder and all my tools had white spray over them. and he used my screwdriver for opening cans of paint!!!!!!!!!

Unforgiveable...

Also applied to the air force, especially when in training.

Can't say they would be teaching it now. Probably require both hands to double productivity, forget safety.:ciappa:
