ok I don't think I'll be going for the multimeter atm, ideally a two pole tester, don't really want to spend 100 on a t150, the ebay ones I can't seem to find a legit seller or trusted source, maybe i'm just being cautious. Would the t90 serve the same purpose as the martindale or in what way is it betterI was overthinking what you might be wanting to do in the longer term.
If you just want to do continuity tests, say with a wander lead connected (eg to an isolated wire) at the CU, and checking at your socket or JB which wire goes to that, any of the two pole testers will do that, even the Martindale.
And the advantage of having a 2 pole tester over a multimeter is that you can properly check a circuit is dead before working on it, whereas a multimeter is not the tool for that.
