I know what one is but I want sure where it come from tbh? I certainly haven’t been rewiring knocking shops.

If I had the dosh, I'd have a tunnel from my knocking shop to my swimming pool complex. But as I haven't, I just make do with me grandsons paddling pool in the summer.

Come out of Barnet through Cockfosters on the A111 there are some houses near Trent Park which would make your eyes water. One has a concierge lodge the size of a one bed house. Some are under construction with tower cranes in place.

The situation Lee refers to has nothing to do with your 'real world'. You've got to live with the times, pal. If a customer is willing to pay for it, they get what they want.
Finished one in autumn with 5 floor to ceiling Lutron control panels, controlling automatic all sorts, besides lighting.
If you've got the money why not spend it...…..it is providing employment, after all.
