Yes I think they will plaster over. You are correct, its not up to scratch!
Very poor and dangerous workmanship.
Single insulated crimped conductors, protected by duct tape! to be plastered over? Plus the other issues already highlighted.
Certainly wants reporting to the Housing Association and the electricians 'governing body' NICEIC, ELECSA or the like. Probably find a sticker on the side of their horse!
I assure you that it was.It wasn't an electrician that did that.
They may claim to be many things but an electrician isn't one of them. If we discovered any of our electricians were undertaking work to this standard they would be sacked immediately.I assure you that it was.

A fair amount of my work involves fault finding and repair. All I can think is what a pain it would be to correct if one of those joins plastered in the wall was to fail.
In a word No, its dog rough, sack the "Sparky" that did it, if he was a Sparky that is, seen some carp in my time thats about the worstI just had some work adding sockets and some fused switches. But I'm concerned that the wiring at up to scratch.View attachment 55478View attachment 55479
None of those screws are horizontal, it's a disgrace.I just had some work adding sockets and some fused switches. But I'm concerned that the wiring at up to scratch.View attachment 55478View attachment 55479
Ridiculous, they should be vertical!None of those screws are horizontal, it's a disgrace.
The sockets have been moved down which left the 2 top ones empty. As requested via the spec sheet for the kitchen refit from my housing association.Still doesn't look anywhere near finished to me. There are two brand new back boxes fitted to the wall ready for something.
