- Practising Electrician (Qualified - Domestic or Commercial etc)
Good evening all, I have been browsing the forums for a while and think its time to introduce myself. I am 48 years old, time served electrician, JIB technician, qualified ONC in electrical engineering, 16th edition and C&G 2391 certified. Since completing my apprenticeship i have worked in electrical contracting (cards in) on projects around the country covering multiple industry and commercial sectors. I am currently a project manager running data installation projects in London, it pays the bills and and I am still with the same company (25 years service award this year). However, the electrical work is drying up, margins are too low.
I am under threat of redundancy and was thinking of trying my hand in the domestic / small commercial market. I am up to date with regs and have experience from single dwellings to petro-chem installations.I will be booking 17th as soon as I have time at home. Any advice from the forum will be appreciated.
Regards
