This person requires some work. They've hopefully explained their skills and qualifications and what area they're in. Otherwise, what's the bloody point?

I know this is a long shot but i thought why not.

I've installed French electrics for the last few years, on my own property and for friends and i love the job, so i'm about to put myself through my proper training here in the UK, but nothing can be a match for on-site experience with a pro.

I'm currently based in Essex but can move anywhere since we're in between houses at the moment, so anywhere in the UK is good. I'm seeking anything semi-regularly, ideally permanently 40 hours a week, but even the odd job here and there would be good. Even if it's only a week here, a week there etc. Not fussy on wage amount and willing to start at the bottom on min wage or even apprentice wages - i see it as a good trade off to be able to work with someone in exchange for their knowledge. I will need to, at some point, book in for three blocks of 2 weeks to go and do my training at an approved City and Guilds centre.

About me:

- Name is Phil, 33 years old, married with 2 children.
- All own tools for almost every trade.
- Own transport.
- Read, write and speak fluent French.
- Five A* A Levels.
- Been a general builder for the last 17 years, since leaving school.
- Can do almost every trade to a decent standard including roofing, plumbing, joinery, kitchens and bathrooms, interior woodwork, decking, painting, plastering, solid wood flooring, log burner installation, pointing, fence installation and general gardening work etc.
- Ready to start asap.
- Am paying in the region of 10 grand out of my own pocket to do my 2365 City and Guilds Levels 2 & 3, along with my NVQ3 and AM2.
- I know almost nothing about UK electrics but i've already started learning on my own in my spare time.
- Punctual, know how to do things like quotes and pricing up etc.
- Own PPE.
- Can get own insurance if necessary.

If anyone is interested please give me a PM and we can have a chat :)

If you end up in the south west living, perhaps I might be able to help out with a few jobs here and there. Can't offer a solid job though, sorry. I am fairly busy and have a couple of trainees with me, but they come and go. They are both on low wages as they are fairly new to it all. One may get full time employment fairly soon the other is trying to go it alone so as I say they come and go. But then so does the work.

Thanks for the offer - it's a possibility as the mother in law lives in your neck of the woods.

Impressive that you have a good academic background and also a good range of practical skills. Hope you get something sorted.

Hi thanks for that. I actually don't have any qualifications from school, i messed about too much, but I realised my error as an adult and went back to adult college to get my A Levels. My qualifications allow me to go to uni but i never fancied getting in loads of debt for a degree.

Hi Phil, would Kent be too far for you?
@CamoElectric

Quick update - I had some good responses off here but unfortunately due to my personal situation I am now only able to work in the Essex area. Making a long shot just that bit longer.

Thanks anyone who took the time to respond.
