Practising Electrician (Qualified - Domestic or Commercial etc)
Hi All,

I'm an Irish electrician and I applied for my DSB years ago, but have never worked in Norway to date.
So just wondering if anyone has, and what was the experience like?

Reading some agencies' job adverts like Adecco or Manpower, the hourly rate seems to vary wildly.
I guess I'd be looking for something like onshore work in a shipyard with accommodation included. Something like that. I saw one offer for 2 weeks on and 3 weeks off but surely you would not get paid anything during your 3 weeks off?
Naturally I'm wondering if the experience would be worthwhile financially.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has previously gone there to work - so you can speak first hand about your experience there. Also about which agency you went through, was it hassle-free dealing with them, or a mess, etc!

Thanks in advance!
