Hi all,

First post here, hoping for some ideas!

I am trying to get a Marelli 6-Wire wiper motor functioning properly. Its on the bench so I can play around with connections all day long.

So far I can get a slow and fast output from the motor, but cannot get the motor to park.

Anyone had any experience with 6-wire motors? I'm sure there was some simple external control but its from a 70's Italian car(!) so i'm looking to replace it with new wiring and relays if needed.

Many thanks!

Robbie

I have not done a Marelli one , but the old Lucas ones (I think it was Lucas) have an internal mechanism to reverse the polarity when the wipers are switched off , when the wiper park is set the wiper motor is switched off in the park position.
If yours is similar, that's maybe why you are not finding the park position. When you remove the supply , it may need to change the polarity with internal mechanical switching.
I did one on an old Rover last year , but my images are fading lol.
