I do wonder if we will ever get and "internet-Hoax meme"
... for last 20 years I've hear of people collecting Aluminum Ring pulls for guide dogs ..
(Firmly denied --just save whole cans .. or Just un-used stamps .. for better efficiency.)

Or keep unused stamps, and use them. They never expire (assuming post-decimalisation) - you can use any mix to make up the postage you need, you can even add up the full face values of an even number of 'something & ½p' stamps.

Then donate the value to the charity.
