Hi went to do a periodic report today on a property and found the following observations.I know the current recommended codes but what about the new c1 c2 c3.Main armoured from meter more than 3 meters with no isolator/fuseNo RCD protection on bedroom sockets or breakfast bar No blanks on fuse board No danger signsFuse board marked incorrectlyMain earthing terminal not fixed, hanging loose Although kitchen and outside socket have RCBO installed they didn't install on bedroom sockets, appliances smoke alarms and lighting. Most circuits at some point will be buried less than 50mm in walls etcWould you put rcbos for the lot?Wiring looks within 4-5 years oldWould you say isolator for main is to be provided by network provider. Also would you still use the old reports or is it law now we have to use the EICR Thanks

Hi went to do a periodic report today on a property and found the following observations.I know the current recommended codes but what about the new c1 c2 c3.
Main armoured from meter more than 3 meters with no isolator/fuse C2
No RCD protection on bedroom sockets or breakfast bar C3
No blanks on fuse board C1
No danger signs C3
Fuse board marked incorrectly C3
Main earthing terminal not fixed, hanging loose C3
Although kitchen and outside socket have RCBO installed they didn't install on bedroom sockets, appliances smoke alarms and lighting. C3
Most circuits at some point will be buried less than 50mm in walls etcWould you put rcbos for the lot? Not relevant to EICR
Wiring looks within 4-5 years old
Would you say isolator for main is to be provided by network provider. No
Also would you still use the old reports or is it law now we have to use the EICR All work done should be to the current regulations so should use EICR not PIR, but not law, guidance.
Thanks
These are my thoughts on coding and actions.
If you have already done a PIR then you may have problems translating to EICR!
Sounds like a bad initial install must have just beaten 17th.

I concur with tha above codes except I would be tempted to give the MET hanging loose a C2

I would also concur, except I would advice a C3 for the lack of RCD protection for the cables concealed in walls at a depth less than 50mm.
Yes I would rather use RCBOs than an RCD covering multiple circuits.
