Hi All, looking for some setup advise around a new EV charger installation at a Domestic Property.
The customer has a single phase 100a supply into their main consumer unit. This then feeds a 2 bed flat electrically via a number of RCBO and MCB protected circuits. It also has a 50a Type B MCB feeding an adjacent single garage. The total length of run is 25m and is fed via a 10mm singles internally and dropping to Low Level in conduit and then 10mm 3C SWA under a path and into the garage. Within the garage is a 2nd 50a smaller consumer unit feeding 3 double sockets and a small lighting circuit both on individual breakers. There are 3 spare wares within the unit.
The customer has asked for a Rolec Smart EV charger which is supplied with its own C40 breaker which we are going to install into the consumer unit and then feed the charger via a 6mm 3C SWA. The charger is located within 2m of the garage consumer unit.
Could I please ask for anyone with experience installing these chargers to advise on the installation described above and if we need to do anything differently.
Regards,
John
