Sundial wiring center

Hi there
has anyone had much experience using the sundial wiring center with Central heating systems. I know they are made by honeywell but the stats and 2zone programmer a plumber has supplied me to wire an s plan system are a different make?
Would this pose any problems? And also would the wiring center be compatible with an a plan plus I have to wire in the near future.

any thoughts on this would be appreciated as my knowledge is limited regarding wiring central heating

It won't matter about different make valves and programmers etc it will be fine But the sundial wiring centre will be no good with a plan plus (could be achievable if you added a few connector block). I never use the circuit board in these anyway if I get supplied one on a job I pop the circuit board out and chuck it in the skip lol and just use a strip of connector block.
just get a drawing for whatever plan you are doing if you aren't sure.

I like the Timeguard wiring centres,plenty of room and lots of cable clamps.

Twin Pattress or a J701 with connector strip or wago's, an electrician really shouldn't need a 'wire by numbers' box to connect such a simple circuit up.

Strain relief? Just because it's a wire by numbers box doesn't mean you have to connect it like that. For instance if I use the Drayton lifestyle/timeguard wiring centre i take all the red links out and just leave the links in the earth and neutral terminals and connect it up how I see fit.

Thanks for your help people, think I will stick with the more traditional route of connector blocks. Just thought id ask the question regarding these to see if they made life real easy.

J701 has cable tie anchors for strain relief and a 47mm twin Pattress should have a cable clamp in the back of it.

Not big enough to grip like six cables though.

Depends how many flexes you need to grip really doesn't it. I'll clip the T&E and 3C&E so only the couple of flexes to the valves, cyl stat and pump if it's there to be secured in a cable grip.

lol it's true though. cpc in a 5 core flex for programmer on a y-plan used as CH on, same for cylinder stat cpc used as hot water satisfied and T+E used for room thermostat with cpc used as SL.

I've lost count the amount of times ive come across this exact situation lol
