Hi sorry for the late reply only just seen this message.

Sorry I don't get involved with recruitment and we now have filled the roles.
I am based in Southampton, if you are a local qualified electrician interested in getting in to solar and battery storage, get in touch.
We have just commissioned our 14th solar system based on the new myenergi Libbi product with 20kWh of battery storage located outdoors.
Here’s a little board I installed the other day in an outbuilding. Trying to follow fathers footsteps. 😁

What’s the point of offering a discount if it takes so much time to add it. Forum1ST doesn’t work. Put it in the advert so people can use it instead if wasting our time.
You’ve lost a sale as I am bored and frustrated trying to work it out I’ll go to my usual wholesaler who offer me a bigger discount.
Im obviously not alone considering the list of people below.

Hi Bigman,

Sorry you found it too much of a waste of time to set up. Would be happy to help but if you getting better deals and stock availabilty at your local wholesaler it's probably best to use them

Kind regards,
Ivan
Hi Ivan,

Hello,
I saw in the forum that you had some issue with a PVmate solar immersion controler.
How did you solve your issue?
I have the same message on the screen., Water tank Hot.
Best regards

Hi Ivan

I am trying to enter the code Forum1st into the checkout page, but it doesn't result in any discount being applied. Has the 5% discount been ended?

I’m sure this has been covered a squillion times before but advice please. EICR on block of 5 flats all with separate supplies & meters. One boiler serving hot water via one system to all flats. Main bond to water and gas on entry to building. There is no bonding locally within the flats themselves. If main bond on entry is in place for a shared water / heating system I was thinking C3 for no local bond within flats
Hi all, something i've not considered before, as always used ELV downlights where necessary ,question is can i use IP / FIRE rated intergrated down lights above bath or shower if the ceiling height is 2.1 meters from under foot in either bath or shower base ?,

Hi Marcuswareham.
Just read your thread, just to change the subject slightly I'm going to do a 3 day course on BS 7909 in stevenage next week. Just wondering if you have any past exam papers that i can have a look at. Also can you tell me what type testing is involved in the exam .
Kind Regards

Hey, is that the James Eade course by any chance, He is very nice guy

I don't have any past papers, and I think the course has now changed a little from when I did it.
But if you are already a Spark you will find it easy don't sweat

Testing is normally a demonstration of safe isolation,

loop impedance (PFC & PSCC) & RCD testing

There is less focus on insulation testing and continuity as equipment and distribution units we use are pre-tested in the warehouse before arriving on site

Hope that helps a little, enjoy the course

Hi Marcus
Yes i am a sparky.
Thanks for the advise.

Hey, congratulations! You've overtaken my esteemedness ratio (reaction score/posts) and now leading by 0.34%. ISTR when Dan was first testing the automatic esteemed tag threshold it got set to a value where I was the only member with it.

Anyway, best wishes and have a great holiday

Hi Buddy, I read one of your posts about becoming qualified and having the work you have undertaken on your own home assessed. I think I am about to start a very similar course to the one you mentioned you had completed and was thinking about doing the exact same thing myself. I am moving into a new property in Feb that needs a full rewire. How have you found the process?
earthing of lamps. multimeter on ohms. short leads together to prove ( should read close to zero. then 1 lead on earth pin of plug. other lead on metalwork of lamp. reading should be within 0.1 ohms of what you got with the leads shorted together.

Hello mate, not sure how much of an issue this one is for you but FYI I actually emailed a UKPN area engineer that I know last night to ask from the horses mouth. But, I'm now a bit confused as your profile says you're in Devon - that's Western Power, not UKPN?? I'm not far from you in Somerset, by the way.
