It has no doubt already been discussed , but I have just noticed that phil d is now called guest111 or something like that and has a line through it !?
I shall miss him if he has gone for good .

I'm not sure why that would be the case, he was still a way short of 3000 posts if I remember correctly.

Well a well respected member suggested allowing phil in early, regardless ofwhether that was the right course of action or not it didn't happen, shortly afterwards he requested his account removed, I am taking no sides on this one.

I said at the time and still say the 3000 club was one of the worst ideas going !
There should be no form of closed club , even if it was on a measure of quality of the posts ( % of thanks to post count ) and without doubt it should not be just because of in a lot of cases just chit chat .
The arms is different in as much as it is for those that prove experience and industry ties .

This is not a moan about those with higher post counts even if it is just chit chat sometimes , without you I for one would not be around as the place would be characterless .

It just seems to me that the 3k club started in bad taste and still seems to be running in bad taste , especially if it means losing a respected member like Phil d over it .
