Some of the symbols are older ones ,
(also transistors come in main families

Junction -like diodes -

FET Field effect -(Symbols have more in common with a Capacitor!)

Resistor
Old zig zag -resistor now often a rectangular box
(as are many others components !)

Inductor
Old symbol looks like a spring
- New symbol looks like smooth letter u repeatedly joined !

( When these changes occurred the way crossing wires were shown also got modified )

To crossing with a + but joined with a Dot !
