    Sump Controller

    It ended up being that I thought, told them to replace the pumps and it worked fine. Bad pumps, still not sure why it ran the one time we plugged it in but all is well now! Thanks.

    Sump Controller

    Can't seem to figure out the issue on a sump controller I am working on. It is a pre-built controller box, set up for two pumps (lead/lag pump system) and a 4 float system (stop,lead,lag,alarm). Both pumps are 120v, as is the control circuit. The contactor is a 3 pole contactor but shipped out...

    Wrong Breaker Tripped

    That's that whole selective coordination issue that is becoming more of a problem. If an upstream breaker has a lower interrupting rating it will trip first. Electrician friend of mine tripped a service main of a hotel by cutting into a 120v circuit.
