Advice ref blinking lights all circuits

I must admit I had to double check after your post! I'm interested if the problem actually occurred when the recording device was installed, as that would be different to "the recording device was installed but the problem didn't occur and they couldn't see anything wrong when they looked at the...

Advice ref blinking lights all circuits

Would you now? I can't see that my question has been answered. "They say that there is no fluctuations from their side that would cause “flicker” so have said it’s not an issue from their end." certainly doesn't answer it if that's what you were thinking.

I've skim-read the thread so sorry if this has been asked - did the flickering happen at any point while the data logger was connected?

    Telephone Line Question

This is very likely to help with your speeds, and also not wiring the bell wire (terminal 3) to any extensions. I have exactly this setup, and use multiple pairs to one of the extension sockets to get a filtered and unfiltered extension in the same point (as the master isn't situated where I'd...

    Anyone want a neon tester

Most certainly! Have you seen his other vids? Some pretty awesome stuff to watch, but I can think of a few reasons I wouldn't want to be his neighbour!

    Anyone want a neon tester

But he's done a search on Google, AND Yahoo! I for one am amazed that anyone would still think to search on Yahoo!

    Bloody loose neutrals!

Yes - I have a little experience with -48 VDC stuff, and we use these for this exact reason!

    Bloody loose neutrals!

Good shout. I have wondered if it was someone less experienced doing the "light" side, as the "supply" side seems better so far and hasn't yet failed. That said, flex is obviously trickier to terminate in a screw terminal, so could explain why this side fails first. Always the neutrals though...

    Bloody loose neutrals!

Thought someone might pick up on that! Just using the holes as access, when the cable is pulled through it's nowhere near the fittings/cables. I have a lots of experience with data cabling, so no worries on that front. Usually in datacentres though, so none of this routing through downlighter...

    Bloody loose neutrals!

So I'm running an Ethernet cable through my roofspace, using only the downlight holes for access. Bit fiddly but gets the job done with a little perseverance. Each downlighter is fed from a junction box. I've been taking them out and for a little while they've been supported only by their...

    Britain's got the builders in - BBC1

Sorry if I've made anyone waste any amount of their lives watching this! It looked like absolute trash but couldn't stop myself from noticing that twin and earth going into that plug top! Apologies again all!

    Britain's got the builders in - BBC1

Looked rubbish. Was literally just on in the background as I was browsing on here! Just seemed to be some woman complaining about everything!

    Britain's got the builders in - BBC1

Literally just got this trash on in the background and couldn't help this catching my eye... Sounds like it's something to do with a £50,000 bed with motorised drink cabinet?! In any case, as if putting two cables into one plug top wasn't bad enough, it looks like one of them is T+E! Looks...
