Yes, I plan to fit it within a profile to mainly to diffuse the light slightly and like you said, to offer a bit more protection.
Thanks for your help. đź‘Ť
Brilliant, thank you.
Yes, it will be within zone 1 so I’d need it to be IP65. It shouldn’t be getting too wet as it’ll be at the top back corner but when we clean bathroom it would get wet.
there is a void behind for the soil pipe so the install will be pretty easy which is handy and the...
Good morning all,
Hope you’re weekend is good so far.
Little question on some LED strip?? I’ve never worked with LED strip before so not really too sure on the ways it can be installed..
I’m re do our bathroom and building a little shelf within the wall and thought I’d see about putting an...
Cool, thanks. I had planned to do that but thought I’d be able to make it a bit more discreet on the outside with just the one IP box.
Do you think I’d get the WiFi receiver (comfortably) in the back of a 2 gang external socket with a blanking plate.
Evening all,
Hope your doing well.
After some opinions, friend of mine has recently moved into a new (for him) house and the porch lights kept tripping the RCD, checked it out and someone had added the porch light but had the N going back the the earth.
I’ve said that I can fit a quinetic...
Hi all,
hope everyone is ok.
I have just been trying to make up a little External lighting loom for my gazebo. I have 4 10w ECOleds which connect to the cable via a “T” cable connector. All wired up correctly but when plugged into my outside RCD Socket it trips it instantly.
Before I made...
ok, so that would mean that when I turn the dimmer off, I essentially turn the downlights on but their control will be via PIR and they will remain at their dimming level I set at the dimmer?
Yes, it’s the timeguard led PIR with dual heads. It has a L,N,CPC and L2 for additional lights and from there I would connect into the wagos which connect the SL to the soffit lights.
so if the dimmer is on low and current from the PIR gets introduced to the circuit, I assume the lights will go...
I have a dimming Pull cord in our bathroom and it has a silent operation. No clunking at all and you just hold it down for it to dim. I will try to find it online.

Unfortunately I can’t find the exact one that I purchased, TLC have one but I can’t see if it is silent or not.
In what sense?
My worry is that if I leave my lights on overnight and the PIR switches on, is that then going to send a current back to the dimmer and if so, would that cause any damaged to it or even the other way round, having the dimmer on is the sending current to the L2 in the PIR. ?‍♂️
Hi all,
I hope everyone is well!
I currently have 5 downlights in my soffits controlled by a dimmer switch and a PIR security light on a timer switch and the PIR also feeds a small light beside the front door, I’m wondering if I could use the SL from the PIR to turn on the down lights as well...
yes it is a DNO provides switch. I have my 100A fuse, the meter and then the switch. So I was wondering if this was common practise to have some form of switch to isolate the board or if this was just requested by previous owner.
because before my DB at home I have a switch and I’m wondering if it is common practise or just someone has specified it.
I will be installing the cable to the aircon units but I will not be terminating it and this IS me just wanting to learn and work out for myself how it would be done, and...
