I've got a Petzl Vertx Vent, very comfortable climbing helmet. Fits ear defenders and face shield. Great helmet for aerial work.

Would you code a 60 amp main switch been fed from a 100 amp BS1361

I see your thinking now, so I won't code this. Sometimes I need to stand back and look at what I'm seeing and thinking from a different angle. Thank you for your advice. Martin

Would you code a 60 amp main switch been fed from a 100 amp BS1361

There a four 3kw storage heaters on this board. So a load of 52 amps been drawn. So the load is under the 60 amp rating of the main switch.

Would you code a 60 amp main switch been fed from a 100 amp BS1361

I was thinking the potential danger is the switching capacity isn't high enough in case of a fault.

Would you code a 60 amp main switch been fed from a 100 amp BS1361

It's a shop and I had to pull the fuse to change the main board and this board is Economy 7.

Would you code a 60 amp main switch been fed from a 100 amp BS1361

I carried out a EICR and the main switch for the consumer unit is only rated at 60 amps and the main supply fuse is a BS1361 rated at 100 amps. Im thinking this should be a C2, what are your thoughts please. Many thanks Martin

Induction Hob and Double Oven Diversity

Thanks for your replays. Its an existing kitchen that the gas hob has failed, so they are looking at upgrading to an induction hob and there's already a 6mm to the oven, so they are looking for the cheapest solution.

Induction Hob and Double Oven Diversity

    Could someone just check my maths and thinking please. Induction Hob 7.2kw = 7200/230 = 31.3 A Double Oven 6.6kw = 6600/230 = 28.7A Total Load = 60A Apply diversity 10A + 30% of remaining load 60 - 10 = 50 x 30% = 15A Diversivified load = 10 + 15 = 25A So a 6mm T&E on a 32A MCB will be ok...

    Just spotted this.

I saw this kit at the Home Building show last year. The batteries where 1.3 Ah NiCads. Didn't think they would last long in real life.
