Unofficially, from Anwyl homes customer care, construction sites may remain open, although it seems this may mean outside work, obviously with social distancing in place, I suppose it comes down to what elements of construction work can continue, also it seems some trade counters are remaining...
Apparently there was clarification last night, on the ‘only travel to work if it’s absolutely essential’ ambiguity, in that it applies to workers listed on the key worker list issued last week. Whilst that list does contain some possible confusion over how far the work within utility trades...
Ah, the extractor circuit already existed off the 6a mcb feeding upstairs lights and was switched fuse 13a. I replaced the fused switch so only a minor cert and no part p, but as I was adding a new circuit to electric hob on a 32a 4mm feed, I produced a major, and part p, included a whole...
Have you connected the N to the corresponding N busbar? you may have created a "borrowed N condition"
Wisps gold to that man, I had indeed borrowed neutral, problem resolved, thank you sir
Hi, installed a new lamona cooker hood as part of a kitchen refit. Connected to 6a lighting circuit on switched 3a fuse supply. All tested fine, but use any function on hood, and dual rcds trip. Checked wiring, all ok, fused switch is new click, but since not tripping when this is switched on...
That’s a possible, rcds tested well though, highest 34ms at 1x lowest 14ms at 5x not overly quick or sensitive. No trips at 1/2. Whole installation is good and tests as you would hope to expect!
doh yes of course it does! Deliberate mistake, honest.

Yeah even down to disconnecting separate cooker hood circuit from mcb. Needed doing anyway to do fused switch change and test, so not a hassle but still same result, all light bulbs removed everything.
hi whilst testing ELI on lighting circuits, using kewtech kt63 on loop no trip function, test keeps tripping rcd once polarity and voltage is confirmed. I know the kt63 tests at 250v in this mode, but it shouldn’t trip the rcd, anyone else experienced this? Is it calibration time? Is it me? Is...
