Been fine all day today. Had dishwasher, washing machine all on at the same time. Rains stopped aswel ?. I'll have to see it it happens again next time it pi$$es down. Cant go unplugging appliances and fault finding when everythings working. Thanks for everyones ideas.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll take everything out tomorrow and see what happens.
It hasn't happened for a couple of months now, usually goes straight back on.
Hi all, hope everyone has had a nice Christmas. At some point this morning the kitchen sockets tripped and its had me up the wall, literally.
It has happened in the past but I just flip the breaker back up and it's been fine. Not today. Flip it up, few seconds later it trips the downstairs...
Thanks for the quick reply. I'd be able to do it myself but like I say, I can only find lights on a plug. Are there lights on the market that can be wired straight into a lighting circuit
Hi all. I'm looking to put some of them golfball style string lights around my patio area. Is there any way of connecting them to my soffit lights. All the lights I can see are plug in ones. Thanks
#update# so I've replaced the lamps with some mr16 leds. Replaced the transformer with a led driver. Now when the lights on it flickers. Take a lamp out and 2 out of 3 work fine.
It really would be a whole lot easier just to replace the whole fitting but the lights look really good in the kitchen
Right, so I'm going to rewire the fitting. How do attach the new lamp holders to the fitting. Its currently soldered but looks a bit of a mess, would crimping not be better?
Thanks, had no idea you could do that. The wires in the choc bloc between the light and the transformer were all frayed so I've stripped and crimped them. Seem to be working ok up to now but time will tell
