    It was damaged & not long enough because oven & hob ate in a different place. If you had seen the rest of the wiring, well let's just say it looked like a crow's nest. Who buries live cables in the wall covered in plaster, they did in this house?

    Cable size

    I have taken out an old 10mm cable which was linked to a 40A fuse. Just thought as all the kitchen cables will be renewed the 10mm would be more than adequate but don't want to go over the top as 10mm cable is not cheap. Yes I'm a yorkshireman lol

    Hi guys, can anyone help with this please. I've a new kitchen going in which will have an induction hob, main oven & a compact oven/ microwave. Induction hob is 32Amp & 7350W Main oven is 16Amp & 3450 W Compact oven 16Amp & 3650 W New wiring is going in so would it be ok to use 10mm cable...
